Osborne & Wilmoth
We Work For the People, Not the Man.
Sammi Wilmoth, Esq.
Partner
My practice is focused on criminal defense, bankruptcy, and personal injury cases, such as car accidents, truck accidents, Workers’ Compensation, slip and fall accidents, and more. I am a committed advocate for my clients and fight hard to seek justice, compensation, and the outcomes they deserve.
I frequently appear before state and federal courts. I have a highly successful track record, including one federal case that led to procedural changes in how Arkansas law enforcement notifies detainees in revocations of probation or parole for reoffending.
I am licensed to practice in Arkansas, the Arkansas Supreme Court, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. I am also a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association, and the Vinton County Bar Association.
I Tend to Favor the Underdog…
I like to help people who are put into really bad situations and positions they did not create and are unable to help themselves. Part of my success is my ability to pick up on details that others miss. I often have a very different perspective and way of seeing things, and my clients benefit from that ability.
I am passionate about representing clients, providing quality legal services, and keeping open lines of communication with each client. We are a purposely small firm. We do not have 100 associates. That is not how we work. If you hire me, you get me, and me only. I am a very hands-on lawyer. I prefer in-person meetings with clients, whether in my office, their home, the hospital, or wherever the client needs and is comfortable with.
My Path to Law School…
I have worked with Osborne for over two decades, starting as a receptionist after graduating high school and working my way up to office manager. Working here and interacting with clients made me realize how much I truly enjoy helping people and improving their lives.
I discovered that I am very passionate about the law and getting justice for clients, so I decided to pursue a law degree to better help clients. All while juggling three small children and my full-time job at Osborne!
By the time I started officially practicing law, I already had 12 years of experience assisting on cases and helping thousands of clients.
When I’m Not with Clients…
I’m with my family, my dogs, and, for part of the year, the Kansas City Chiefs. We rescue and foster dogs from all over Arkansas. We ensure they receive appropriate veterinary care and are healthy and well-adjusted before finding them stable forever homes and families. Though, secretly, I would like to keep them all if I could.
My husband and I enjoy cars, and we help various organizations host car show fundraisers for charities, people in need, and organizations that provide valuable resources for our community.
And we are huge Kansas City Chiefs fans! Sundays are centered around football and cheering on our team.
